Position Details

The ability to work on a solutions-focused team is critical. Specific tasks include project scope and specification documentation, solutions-based design work, validation, and working with manufacturing engineering on optimizing designs for manufacturing. A strong interest in continued learning of trends and emerging technologies in automation and energy is a must.

Knowledge of applying Variable Frequency Drives to control and automation systems is very important.   • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.

Position Details

The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance Technician role will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed to shipping the highest quality products.  Knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential.  The Quality Assurance Technician must have confidence to enforce our quality management principles, while also working as part of the operations team.   • Ability to read and interpret Technical Data, work instructions, BOMs, and engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).

  • Proficient in conducting electrical and mechanical testing procedures to ensure finished products and assemblies meet expected company quality standards.

  • Experience with electrical circuits, continuity, motor loading, and using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, current probes to ensure compatibility and communication of system. 

  • Approve or reject materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.

  • Inspect repaired and overhauled equipment and components using approved quality standards and data as the means for acceptance.
  • Assist in audits, special projects, and R&D interfacing with engineering to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, specifications, and the creation of testing procedures.

  • Record inspection results, summarize rework and waste activities, maintain records of defective products and input data into quality management system.

  • Monitor the use of equipment and calibration requirements to ensure safe, accurate operation and submit reports to the Quality Manager.

Position Details

This individual must become intimately familiar with the products and systems we provide in order to be successful in helping customers.

 

Responsibilities
  • Must be familiar with the operation of oil well equipment as it relates to the operation of various SPOC pumping control systems.
  • Experienced in the programming, component identification and operation of our variable frequency drives (VFD) and how they are incorporated into our systems.
  • Be knowledgeable in the function and diagnosis of AC and DC electrical circuits which include the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, use diagnostic equipment, such as a multi meter, and current meter. 
  • Needs be experienced in basic computer operation within a windows based operating system (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Coordinate with senior engineering personnel in troubleshooting existing programs or conveying changes that may be requested by the end user.
  • Be proficient in the proper documentation of the interaction with customer during the service contact. Includes logging in the data and conversations relevant to the call along with the history of the unit. To generate a case that all personnel can refer to later if issues occur throughout the process.
  • In certain cases, a follow up phone call may be necessary to confirm all tasks have been completed and the customer is satisfied.
  • Walk customers through the process of installing the software on their machines and starting up the unit for the first time.
  • Help customers troubleshoot issues the encounter while using the software and provide actionable tips to resolve the problem.
  • Send technical documentation to customers who have lost or misplaced theirs.
  • Assume remote control over customer’s products when necessary to resolve problems.
